Moving and Storage Reality TV shows

Reality TV featuring movers or storage has been attempted a few times before. Quality moving companies make boring TV. However illegal unlicensed unskilled companies are far more entertaining as well as fake staged storage units. The latest reality moving company TV show seems to use dangerous moves and family tension.

Here is a list of reality television shows that feature moving or storage.

• 2005-2005 Make Your Move Discovery Home & Leisure,    Discovery Home,    Planet Green,    Discovery’s Destination America‘s Al Roker‘s starring the nationwide high quality Boston based independent mover Gentle Giant. There does not seem to be any video on the interwebs for this 10 episode show.

• 2010- Storage Wars on A&E. Popular show now in its fourth season. Bidders compete to win abandoned self storage units that may contain thousands in profits.    IMDB

• 2012- Storage Hunters truTV Now it’s 3rd season. ( see above) IMDB

• 2011-2011 Deathwish Movers on the Travel Channel. It appears 8 episodes were made of Boston based Deathwish Movers. They appear to be a specialty mover that handle piano and heavy items tradional movers may not handle. They also offer craning / rigging services.    deathwishpiano.com IMDB

• 2012- Shipping Wars  with the entertainment of illegal unlicensed unskilled “shippers” that transport goods as carriers on Uship.com. (Storage wars incorrectly uses the term shippers for the “companies” carrying the goods ie carriers. The person hiring the carrier is the shipper) IMDB

• 2013 Moving Wars   April 2013. It appears that Walter Keener  produced a 5 minute pilot in April 2013 on his youtube page It appears a current / former employee breaks off and starts his own rouge moving company.

• 2013- Container Wars truTV Debued on September 1 2013. Storage wars but takes place in shipping port auctions IMDB
